Truckshop App is operated by First Tech Consulting Services Ltd. ("we," "us," "our"), located at 16247 31 Ave, Surrey, BC V3Z 7E1, Canada. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through Truckshop App, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

Who this policy covers

Truckshop App is software that truck repair shops ("Shops") use to manage their own customers, vehicles, work orders, and invoices. If you're a Shop's customer, your information was provided to us by the Shop you do business with, not collected by us directly — for questions about how a specific Shop uses your information, contact that Shop. This policy describes how we, as the platform operator, handle information across the service.

Information we collect

Account information: when a Shop signs up, we collect the Shop's business name, address, and the name, email, and phone number of its staff user accounts.

Customer and vehicle information entered by Shops: names, phone numbers, email addresses, vehicle identification numbers (VINs), and service/repair history that a Shop enters into the system about its own customers and their vehicles.

Payment information: when a Shop's customer pays an invoice online, payment card details are collected and processed directly by Stripe, our payment processor — we do not receive or store full card numbers.

Usage information: standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) collected automatically when the service is used.

Text message (SMS) communications

A Shop may send you SMS text messages about your vehicle or work order — for example, that an estimate is ready for approval, that your vehicle is ready for pickup, or a maintenance reminder. A Shop only sends you these messages if you gave that Shop your phone number and agreed to receive them (typically when dropping off your vehicle or over the phone).

Message frequency varies depending on your vehicle service activity. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by asking the Shop directly. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at contact@truckshopapp.com.

We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of purchasing any service.

How we use information

We use collected information to operate and provide the service, including: letting Shops manage their customers, vehicles, work orders, and invoices; sending SMS and email notifications a Shop's customer has consented to; processing payments; and, where a Shop chooses to connect it, syncing invoice data to that Shop's own QuickBooks Online account.

Third-party service providers

We use the following third-party providers to operate the service, each of which processes information only as necessary to provide their respective function: Microsoft Azure Communication Services (SMS and email delivery), Microsoft Azure Blob Storage (file/photo storage), Stripe (payment processing), Intuit QuickBooks Online (optional accounting sync, only if a Shop connects it), and NHTSA's public vehicle database (VIN decoding).

Data retention and security

We retain information for as long as a Shop's account is active, or as needed to comply with legal obligations. We use industry-standard technical and administrative safeguards to protect information against unauthorized access, including encrypted connections and per-Shop data isolation.

Your choices and rights

You may ask the Shop you do business with to correct or delete your information, or opt out of text messages at any time as described above. You may also contact us directly at contact@truckshopapp.com with any privacy request, and we will work with the relevant Shop to address it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
